Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and editing programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect parts and assemblies to ensure they meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key
Responsibilities:

- Develop and validate CMM inspection programs using software such as Polyworks, PC-DMIS, or similar

- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and 3D CAD models

- Provide software training and support as necessary for Quality Managers and Engineers

- Support implementation of scanning technology throughout the organization

- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve quality issues

- Ensure inspection processes are aligned with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 or relevant quality standards

Required
Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate

- 3+ years of experience in CMM programming and operation

- Proficiency in CMM software (e.g., Polyworks, PC-DMIS, or others)

- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading

- Experience with ISO/IATF quality systems and documentation

- Familiarity with a variety of materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., punching, laser, forming, machining, stamping)

Preferred
Qualifications:

- Experience with Keyence, Trackcan, Romer CMMs

- Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.)

- Experience in a variety of manufacturing industries

- Knowledge of SPC and other statistical quality tools

Soft Skills:

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team

- Strong organizational and time management skills

Work Environment:

- Primarily in a manufacturing and quality lab environment

- May require standing or sitting for extended periods

- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
