Privacy Policy

VeritaHire helps job seekers find roles whose requirements they genuinely meet, and helps employers receive applications from real, fitting candidates. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to be read — not to hide behind length.
The short version. We collect only what we need to match you to jobs and, when you choose to apply, to pass your application to that employer. We do not sell your personal information. How we match and rank jobs for you happens entirely inside VeritaHire and is never disclosed to any employer — an employer sees only the application you choose to send: your answers, your own yes/no confirmations, and your résumé if you attach one.
Who we are

Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code; your résumé and any cover letter; work-eligibility answers you choose to confirm (e.g. authorized to work, 21 or older, driver’s license, degree completed); and any facts you add to improve your matches.
- Application information. When you apply to a role, the details you submit for that application.
- Account & usage. A sign-in session token (a cookie) that keeps you logged in, and basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To match you to jobs. We compare the skills and experience in your profile to live job postings using our own in-house logic. This matching runs on our systems; we do not send your profile to an outside AI service to perform it.
- To help you apply. When you submit an application, we transmit it to the employer you chose.
- To operate the service. To sign you in, keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and (only if you opt in) email you about jobs you’re a strong fit for.
How we share it
When you apply to a role, we pass your application to that employer, acting as the employer’s service provider for the purpose of routing your application. We share your information with employers only for roles you choose to apply to.
What we never share: how we match and rank jobs for your feed is internal to VeritaHire and is never sent to an employer — employers receive only the answers you confirm yourself and the materials you choose to attach. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site (hosting, and — for account verification — a text-message sender). They may process your information only to provide those services to us.
Cookies
We use one first-party cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Some pages load web fonts from Google, which may receive your IP address as part of serving those fonts.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile while your account is active. Application data is retained only as long as needed to route and support your application. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.
Your choices & rights
- Access, correct, or delete. Update your details on your profile page, or email us to access or delete your information.
- Opt out of marketing. Any optional emails include an unsubscribe link; opting out never affects an application you’ve submitted.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. Contact us to exercise any of these.
Children
VeritaHire is intended for adults seeking work and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
