Full job description

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities. - Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. - Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards. - Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and assist with visitor direction, entry procedures, and traffic flow. - Prepare clear and accurate reports related to incidents, patrol observations, access-control activity, and other security-related matters.

- Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree. - Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. - Be at least 21 years of age. - Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. - Possess baton certification, preferred. - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. - Participate in industry-specific security training programs. - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
