Cutting Operator Assistant

- High School Diploma preferred, technical school education, or equivalent. - Heavy mechanical/operator level skills in a manufacturing environment. - Two years of related manufacturing focus experience in a converting facility or similar type preferred. - Must have knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic components. - Trained knowledge in mechanical assembly standards, engineering standards, or other applicable procedures and parts flow. - Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Sitting, walking or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods. - Awkward and/or repetitive movements. - Lifting up to 50 lbs. - Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. - Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment. - Work in areas of fluctuating temperature. - Flexibility to work any shift and overtime if business needs require it.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is regularly exposed to dust, fumes, heat, cold, vibration, toxic conditions, and potential work hazards.

Personal Protective Equipment (hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves) is required. Other PPE may be required for specific tasks
