As a Security Officer Screening Control in Kansas City, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will help monitor entry activity, screen visitors and team members, and support a professional, welcoming environment.

In this role, you will remain visible, provide exceptional customer service and communication, and contribute to security-related operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable, and innovative approach.

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a fast-paced technology-focused location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders and client guidelines, helping to identify prohibited items or unusual activity and escalating concerns through proper channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting security-related investigations as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting maintenance concerns, access control issues, and other security-related conditions that may require follow-up.
• Monitor entry points, badge checks, and visitor processing activities, helping to deter unauthorized access while maintaining professional communication with staff and guests.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
