Project Director-ENG

Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is currently looking for a talented Engineering Project Director to lead the Engineering Project Management Department in our Southeast Region offices. This is a great opportunity to work with a high-performing team on interesting and challenging design projects for customers in the process, energy, chemical and power industries.

We want to talk with individuals who have experience leading successful project management teams, leading growing operations, cultivating new customer relationships and developing on-going customer relationships.

The Director will lead all related Engineering Project Management professionals and be responsible for engineering project delivery, best practices and procedures and capability growth in the region. Candidates should possess a minimum of 15 years of experience that include responsibilities for engineering project management across a significant portfolio.

Strong business acumen is required along with solid experience in customer engagement. The individual should possess requisite leadership skills to motivate others, manage in a team environment, coordinate efforts and require a minimum amount of direction from senior management. This individual shall demonstrate effective communication skills and participate in the growth (i.e. selection, training and development) of engineering project management professionals.

Operations leadership experience is beneficial for the support of our growing Southeast operations.

The role will be located in either Charlotte, North Carolina or Greenville, South Carolina. The Director will be expected to work from either of these locations and travel to the other.
