the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies.
You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.
The employee will be assigned to Shift D - Friday to Sunday from 6 pm to 6 am.
This role is contributing to the Electrification - Smart Power in Senatobia, US .
- Provide leadership and guidance to the quality assurance team to ensure adherence to established standards. - Foster a quality-centric culture within the organization. - Inspection and Testing: - Oversee product or service inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. - Conduct regular audits and tests to identify and address deviations from quality specifications. - Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
- Train and manage a team of quality inspectors. - Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations. - Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.
- Co-ordinate with Quality Engineers to identify areas for improvement and put forward ideas to foster Quality.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance activities (Inspection and Block Data) - Prepare regular reports on quality performance and key metrics using Checklist. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding quality-related matters.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of quality control measures. - Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality-related challenges. - Work with Quality Engineers to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent. - 3+ years of manufacturing production supervisory experience. - Quality and continuous process improvement experience. - Proven manufacturing supervisory skills with ability to train, instruct, and motivate employees. - Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. - Good computer skills including Microsoft Office. - Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
