- Large-Scale Operation: Lead maintenance for 90+ trucks dispatched daily, supported by three maintenance shifts, an extensive parts inventory and specialized heavy equipment and fabrication teams

- Lead all shop operations to maintain fleet reliability, uptime and safety performance
- Manage and develop supervisors, three shifts of mechanics and the parts team through coaching, training and performance management
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for a stand-alone heavy equipment maintenance team and fabrication team supporting fleet operations and special projects
- Use fleet management software and data to prioritize work, identify issues and improve maintenance outcomes
- Oversee parts department operations, including purchasing, inventory levels and vendor performance for an inventory of more than 1,600 unique part numbers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, safety, accounting and leadership teams
- Manage maintenance budgets, approve expenses and optimize total cost of ownership
- Ensure new equipment is received, inspected and properly commissioned before service
- Drive safety initiatives, incident reviews and injury prevention efforts
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in maintenance processes, inventory management and shop efficiency
- Minimum 7 years of experience maintaining diesel trucks and heavy equipment
- At least 2 years of management experience in a multi-shift maintenance environment
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in diesel technology, management or related field preferred
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft 365 and fleet management software
- Ability to drive results through data, organization and accountability
- Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician Certification preferred
