License: CDL
- Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical, air brake, steering, suspension, drivetrain, HVAC and hydraulic systems
- Perform transmission, differential and suspension repairs based on skill level
- Utilize fleet maintenance software to review vehicle history, document repairs and complete work orders
- Respond to service calls and equipment breakdowns as needed
- Communicate with drivers and operators to improve equipment reliability
- Support and mentor less experienced mechanics as appropriate
- Experience with heavy-duty trucks, fleet vehicles or heavy equipment
- Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes and emissions systems
- CDL Class B with air brakes preferred, or ability to obtain
