Senior Revenue Accountant

Clipboard Health is expanding to support our growth by adding a high-performing Senior Revenue Accountant to the Finance team! Reporting to our Manager of Revenue Accounting, you will assist with managing month-end close, including the preparation and posting of journals, along with various process improvement projects related to revenue and AR.

This person will have a strong collaboration with our broader Finance team to implement efficient accounting procedures. This role will require strong communication and organizational skills to ensure the company's consolidated financial statements are prepared timely and accurately. This could be the ideal position for you if you are a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with high standards.

- Prepare and book journal entries to ensure the appropriate revenue, cost and AR treatments

- Assist with monthly accounting close including analyzing fluctuations and providing meaningful financial reporting.

- Understand relevant accounting principles and communicate such principles to peers and business partners, primarily in written form.

- Analyze current procedures and make recommendations to develop and drive process improvements to achieve efficiency and scalability.

- Support the external audit process and create improvements for any inefficiencies identified.

- Assist in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.

- Experience in a technology or high-growth company operating in a SOX environment

- Experience with Snowflake, SQL, Hex, and/or Metabase is a bonus

- First principles mindset - you break down a complex problem into its most basic foundational elements and build from there.

- Extreme curiosity - not satisfied with easy or convenient answers; drives issues to root cause.

- Ability to work comfortably with incomplete information and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.

Since this role is remote and requires a high degree of autonomy, the case study helps us understand how you operate in an asynchronous environment. Specifically, we're looking at how you interpret written context, navigate ambiguity, and identify opportunities independently. This ensures our first conversation is grounded in your actual work style rather than just a resume walkthrough.

Please note that the accounting team primarily operates in PST/PDT time, so candidates in other time zones may be asked to align with these hours during critical periods such as month end close.
