ASSISTANT OPERATOR II

- Monitors the continuous production of product through the air graders, forming line and press.

- Monitors raw board quality.

- Communicates with operators to maintain stable and consistent production.

- Monitors furnace, thermal oil pumps, resin pumps and lines, steam generator and refiner by making periodic rounds.

- Identifies process variation.

- Assists in executing plant shut downs.

- Obtains resin samples from delivery trucks.

- Performs basic maintenance related tasks.

- Performs housekeeping activities.

- Assists maintenance personnel in performing technical work.

- Performs other related duties as required.

- High school diploma or GED equivalency required.

- Reads and writes in standard English and proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.

- Successful completion of all required on the job training.

- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.

- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

- Must be an effective team member.

- Ability to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and steel toe shoes.

- Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related supported areas.

- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
