PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain current applications, including, but not limited to, bug fixes, feature enhancements and performance tuning
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement solutions
- Develop and enforce policy and procedural changes within the development group
- Develop coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines
- Work closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs
- Develop and provide support for multiple applications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS/Engineering/Technology or related field or equivalent experience and or training
- 6+ years total development experience
- 4 + years object-oriented application experience
- Expert skills in Java web services and applications
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL
- Extensive knowledge of object oriented programming
- Ability to scrutinize applications and services to ensure they adhere to security standards.
- Networking knowledge (Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP)
- Experience with diagnostics tools (Tealeaf, Fiddler, IE Inspector, HTTP Analyzer) preferred
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) experience preferred
