Compensation:</strong> $90,000 - $110,000</p><p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time, Onsite </p><p><strong>Vacancy:</strong> This posting is for an existing, currently open position.&nbsp;</p><p></p><p><strong>Deliver the Difference with us:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Health and Safety Manager provides leadership, guidance, and&nbsp;expertise&nbsp;to business units in the development and implementation of health and safety strategies, standards, policies, and processes.&nbsp;You will&nbsp;ensure compliance with legislative requirements and&nbsp;facilitate&nbsp;the effective use of the Health &amp; Safety Management System (HSMS).&nbsp;</p><p>In this role,&nbsp;you will&nbsp;equip line management and field personnel with the necessary tools, information, and awareness to address health and safety concerns proactively.

Through expert guidance and support,&nbsp;you will&nbsp;work to mitigate risks, prevent occupational injuries and illnesses, and foster a strong culture of workplace safety.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Your Role &amp; Impact:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Safety Leadership&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of safety, health and&nbsp;loss&nbsp;control processes and systems within the assigned regional areas.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in the effective development, delivery and implementation of health &amp; safety policies, programs and communications that support the implementation of the Health, Safety and Environment Improvement Plan (HSE-IP) across the business units within scope.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Safety Programs&nbsp;</p><ul><li>The&nbsp;development, implementation and direction of the facility’s Occupational Health and Safety&nbsp;Program and&nbsp;will continually strive to support the company’s goals to provide a safe and healthy workplace&nbsp;to&nbsp;all&nbsp;employees.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Assist&nbsp;unit management in the development and implementation of the H&amp;S Improvement Plan&nbsp;objectives,&nbsp;identifying&nbsp;improvement&nbsp;areas&nbsp;and developing associated action plans.&nbsp;</li><li>Determine&nbsp;through needs-analysis the requirements and priorities for safe work processes in maintenance and operational functions with a focus on high-risk tasks.&nbsp;</li><li>Support site management to&nbsp;facilitate&nbsp;the early and safe return to work for employees who are injured or become ill at work.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Safety Performance&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Provide analysis and interpretation of health and safety metrics and key performance indicators.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide H&amp;S statistical information and key indicators in a meaningful format for business units and management teams to support effective decision-making.&nbsp;</li><li>Works to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and fulfillment of contractual environmental, health and safety requirements.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Training&nbsp;and&nbsp;Coaching&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Provide&nbsp;on-going&nbsp;coaching to management teams on their responsibilities with respect to applicable legislative and corporate health &amp; safety&nbsp;requirements and&nbsp;provide assistance to&nbsp;develop solutions to achieve compliance&nbsp;to&nbsp;those requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop and deliver health &amp; safety training modules and programs reflective of applicable legislative requirements and corporate health &amp; safety policies,&nbsp;procedures,&nbsp;and practices.&nbsp;</li><li>Facilitate various training programs including, but not limited to, orientation, mobile equipment, crane, material handling, workplace specific hazardous material information systems, as well as several others as&nbsp;required.</li></ul><p>Investigations&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Facilitate and&nbsp;participate&nbsp;in incident/accident investigations and risk assessments.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop corrective actions and follow up on actions to ensure compliance and root-cause analyses are completed according to incident type and risk.&nbsp;</li><li>Assertively manage post-incident matters including incident reporting, post incident action items, Worker’s Compensation claims and Early and Safe Return to Work initiatives.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Audits&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Assist&nbsp;units in preparation for periodic health &amp; safety audits,&nbsp;monitor&nbsp;status of actions to address audit recommendations to ensure actions are completed on time, and&nbsp;provide assistance to&nbsp;identify&nbsp;and remove barriers to completion.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate and lead periodic group health &amp; safety audits to assess diverse business units’ level of implementation of LH HSMS.&nbsp;</li><li>Identify&nbsp;best practices that could support ECAN health and safety&nbsp;evolution.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Safety Systems&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Actively work to develop or&nbsp;identify&nbsp;systems,&nbsp;programs,&nbsp;and training needs, and ensure these solutions are implemented and aligned with HSMS requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate and&nbsp;assist&nbsp;in the development and sourcing of new health &amp;
