You will oversee general office activities and workflow for a single site, ensuring effective coordination between departments and supervisory personnel. You will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures, policies, and standards, managing departmental budgets and work schedules, and resolving escalated issues and complaints.
Occasional travel by automobile and airplane may be required for business purposes.
- Coordinate office activities and workflow with supervisory personnel and other departments. - Develop and update procedures, policies, and standards in alignment with corporate and departmental requirements. - Implement and communicate company policies and work procedures to staff. - Assist in developing annual departmental budgets and work schedules based on workload and budget constraints. - Provide guidance to employees in handling complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes. - Participate in recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and personnel actions as needed. - Research, compile, and prepare reports and correspondence required by management or governmental agencies. - Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
- Minimum 5 years of office experience in warehousing or logistics required. - Minimum 1 year of general supervisory or management experience required. - High school diploma required. - Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. - Ability to interpret human resources regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
- Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred. - Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. - Effective verbal and written communication. - Ability to resolve complex problems. - Ability to build mentoring relationships to support employee development. - Receptive to management development suggestions and willingness to seek additional knowledge for job growth. - Ability to collaborate and model leadership behaviors including conflict resolution. - Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending. - Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment. - Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others, verbally and/or in writing. - May require travel by automobile and airplane for business. - May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing. - May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
