What You'll Do (Responsibilities) In this role, you will: Control the daily access of individuals and vehicles into the facility, ensuring all entrants are properly identified and authorized. This includes conducting property searches using x-ray equipment and magnetometers. Monitor security/fire alarm systems and CCTV assets.
Conduct routine visual inspections of key locations through scheduled roving patrols both inside and outside the facility. Respond to alarms, security breaches, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures. You will collaborate with internal departments and outside public safety personnel to facilitate emergency evacuations.
Document significant security or safety incidents and complete departmental reports with high accuracy. Provide specific direction to individuals regarding compliance with facility rules and regulations, quickly assessing and resolving situations that may present a threat. What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military environments is preferred.
Superior verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage highly stressful situations with a calm demeanor. Must maintain an average to above-average level of physical fitness. You must be confident in your ability to carry a weapon and possess the physical strength to retain a weapon during a physical altercation.
Licensing: A valid Pennsylvania State Driver's License with current PA residency is required. High School diploma or GED required (College degree preferred). Current Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification is preferred; current EMT or EMR certifications are highly encouraged.
