Full job description

The Claims Administrator controls, tracks, and manages all internal and external claims regarding the field operations of the company, including but not limited to; workers' compensation, general liability, completed operations, and motor vehicles. This person will investigate, evaluate, and settle claims, ensuring prompt handling of cases while providing a reduced loss ratio.

The Claims Administrator will need to be extremely detail-oriented, able to work with internal and external clients professionally, and enjoy a fast-paced environment that requires organization in their day-to-day business.

- Reviews claim notices and scope of work to determine risk and liability

- Communicates with insurance companies, healthcare providers and third-party claim administrators (TPA) in order to achieve prompt and reasonable resolutions, and claim closure

- Works to reduce employee lost time due to occupational injury or illness and avoid fraudulent workers' compensation claims, and schedule appropriate work for employees on restricted duty

- Works closely with employees to gather information and assist with case processing

- Attends depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials as required

- Manages claim files to meet company and insurance standards

- Provides timely and accurate reports on claim to the Director of SQT

- Develops and provides employee training on compliance safety topics, policies, or procedures

- High levels of Customer Services with Internal and External Customers

- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet strict deadlines

- Data Entry experience would be helpful as accuracy is quite important to be successful for this role

- Ability to be flexible to fast-paced changing business needs

- Bachelors degree with an emphasis on risk management, business, or a related field

- Two to Three (2-3) years in a similar or direct field as a Claims Administrator
