: Under limited supervision, the Human Resources (HR) Specialist provides highly specialized support to the HR department. The position primarily focuses on data entry, data validation, and utilizing Microsoft Excel and Workday HRIS to support HR processes. The role assists in various HR functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data management.
Job Description: Description of Duties and Tasks: Assist with data entry and validation across multiple HR systems, including Workday HRIS and Ellucian Colleague, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Utilize advanced Excel skills to generate reports, manage data sets, and analyze HR-related data. Use Workday HRIS to process, track, and maintain employee data and records.
Support various HR areas, including employee records management, HR compliance assistance, and general administrative tasks. Coordinate, evaluate, and implement materials to assist HR programs and processes. Provide general reporting and maintain databases as required.
Support training programs and provide assistance on HR processes and systems. Additional Job Specific
Duties: Collaborate with HR teams to ensure accurate processing and reporting of HR data using Workday HRIS. Ensure timely updates and maintenance of databases and spreadsheets. Knowledge: Familiarity with HR processes and procedures, particularly in data management, reporting, and HRIS systems like Workday.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.). Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and validation. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information. Technology Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software applications.
Experience with HR information systems, particularly Workday HRIS. Required Work Experience: One year experience in data entry, data validation, or related administrative support roles. Preferred Work Experience: Experience working in HR or with HR databases and systems, especially Workday.

Requirements: Work is performed in a standard office environment. Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

This is a temporary position for 90 days.
