ECHO Incorporated is looking for a Receiving Clerk to join our Distribution team! This position is responsible for coordinating and processing inbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and supporting warehouse operations through effective inventory control and system management.
The Receiving Clerk serves as a key liaison between Receiving, Purchasing, Accounting, Quality, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations to ensure inventory transactions are processed accurately, inventory issues are resolved in a timely manner, and materials are available to support production and customer requirements.

- Greet and check in drivers, assigning them to the appropriate dock doors for unloading.
- Unload domestic and international shipments, transfer trucks, inbound containers, and freight deliveries.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, invoices, bills of lading, and system records to ensure receiving accuracy.
- Receive inventory accurately into designated staging and warehouse locations using XA (AS400), WMS (SCE), and other applicable inventory systems.
- Verify inventory transactions through Powerlink and related inventory systems.
- Enter inbound purchase orders into XA and SCE systems.
- Retrieve ASN numbers and manage storage locations to support receiving and put-away activities.
- Ensure all received materials are properly labeled, stored, organized, and transferred to designated warehouse locations.
- Complete DPR forms for damaged products as required.
- Investigate, document, and resolve receiving discrepancies including shortages, overages, damages, incorrect shipments, and inventory variances. Coordinate discrepancy resolution with Purchasing, Accounting, Quality, Customer Service, Transportation, and Warehouse Operations.
- Prioritize and process urgent inventory requirements needed to support production schedules and customer orders.
- Process Home Depot returns (credit memos), warehouse transfers, returned products, and other special inventory transactions.
- Participate in recurring cross-functional meetings to review and resolve outstanding inventory and receiving issues.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle count support, inventory research, reconciliation activities, and receiving audits.
- Support receiving activities across multiple warehouse locations and buildings as required.
- Schedule inbound freight deliveries and truckload appointments.
- Sort, count, and record inbound bills daily and forward totals to the Transportation team.
- Scan, archive, and maintain receiving records, packing lists, and supporting documentation for Accounting.
- Process, organize, and distribute daily UPS, FedEx, and other parcel shipments.
- Collect, maintain, and report receiving and inventory-related KPI data.
- Operate powered industrial equipment including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and other material handling equipment.
- Transfer inventory and materials to designated warehouse and production locations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and special projects as assigned.
- Maintain a safe, clean, secure, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Strong inventory control and inventory reconciliation skills.
- Ability to accurately process inventory transactions within ERP and WMS systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify, investigate, document, and resolve inventory discrepancies.

- Experience with XA (AS400), SCE/WMS, Powerlink, or similar warehouse systems.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Experience with inventory analysis, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse receiving processes.
- Fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
- Frequent interaction with warehouse personnel, transportation providers, and cross-functional departments.
- Regular exposure to warehouse operations, powered industrial equipment, loading docks, and shipping/receiving activities.
- Requires flexibility to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays, based on business needs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift).
- Ability to frequently move throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, twist, climb stairs, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to work around moving machinery, forklifts, loading docks, noise, and other industrial conditions while following all safety procedures.
