Full job description

the opportunity to: - Lead Medicare Part D, Medicare Advantage, forecasting and bids - Present results to and participate in strategic discussions with clients - Provide strategic guidance to local and regional health plans around evolving impacts of the Inflation Reduction Act and other regulatory and market forces - Perform analysis of healthcare data - Write reports that explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience - Manage projects through completion within an expected budget - Supervise actuarial students in the completion of technical aspects of actuarial projects Employees will be expected to develop the ability to manage client relationships.

qualifications: Professional

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field - FSA designation - 10+ years of healthcare actuarial experience, including: - Three or more years of experience with Medicare Part D, including bid development - Experience with Medicare Advantage - Experience with commercial programs preferred, but not required - Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences - Strong understanding of the US healthcare system - Advanced proficiency with Excel - Working knowledge of SAS, SQL, or R Personal

Qualifications - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment - Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on client satisfaction - Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach

Preferred

Qualifications - Bid Certification - Experience with R and/or Python - Experience with PowerBI Individual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future. Location This position is based out of the Milliman office in Seattle, WA.

It is preferred that this employee work in-office, but remote candidates anywhere in the US will be considered. This job posting is expected to close on August 10, 2026.

Compensation The overall salary range for this role is $116,900 - $242,650. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc. For candidates residing in: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia: - $134,435 - $242,650 for experience greater than 10 years.

All other states: - $116,900 - $211,000 for experience greater than 10 years. Employees are also eligible for a bonus under our standard bonus policy. Paid bonus is dependent on billable hours worked by and work managed by the employee.

Actual bonuses vary widely based on desired and completed workload but often exceed 40% of base salary.
