Job Summary: We are seeking a Corporate Counsel to act in a generalist role and provide legal support for the company's loan servicing, asset management, special servicing and corporate teams. The role may expand over time. The position will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina and be subject to the company's hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities: - Draft, review, and/or negotiate a range of contracts, including client, vendor and consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreement (NDAs), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and balance sheet transactional documents, and corporate filings. - Manage and coordinate with outside counsel on litigation and regulatory matters. - Advise business stakeholders on commercial mortgage servicing and corporate matters. - Effectively manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Qualifications: - Juris Doctorate and undergraduate college degree. - 2-5 years of full-time legal practice. - Demonstrated experience representing commercial real estate loan servicers with respect to securitized, balance sheet, and/or leveraged loans - Demonstrated experience in Commercial Real Estate loan origination. - Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating servicing, services and vendor agreements. - Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating organizational documents and legal opinions. - Active law license in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar association. - Strong analytical, drafting, and organizational skills with high attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels and with both legal and non-legal stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement as part of a collaborative team. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and large language models.
