Founded in 1986, Falk School serves students ages 5-21 across four Western New York campuses through highly structured classrooms and individualized educational supports. As an affiliate of Child & Family Services, we are committed to helping students build the academic, behavioral, and life skills needed to thrive. Our classrooms are intentionally small-typically six students supported by one teacher and one teacher aide-allowing staff to develop meaningful relationships while providing individualized support to every student.

As a School Nurse , you'll play a vital role in keeping students healthy, safe, and ready to learn. Working collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers, you'll provide direct nursing care, manage student health needs, respond to medical emergencies, and promote a safe, supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Responsibilities - Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff in accordance with New York State nursing standards. - Assess, monitor, and manage students' health conditions, medications, and medical treatments during the school day. - Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and support students with chronic health needs. - Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies. - Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate follow-up care. - Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with New York State health regulations. - Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, families, and community healthcare providers to support student success. - Monitor immunization compliance, physical examinations, and other required student health documentation. - Promote health education and wellness initiatives throughout the school community. - Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, professional development, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required. - School Nurse Certification preferred. - Current CPR and First Aid certification. - Experience working with children or adolescents preferred. - Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
