Job Summary: The School of Nursing and Health Professions at the University of San Francisco invites applications for part-time faculty positions in Nurse Practitioner Programs, Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. The School has a rigorous, high-quality Doctor of Nursing Practice program that prepares graduates for careers as, Family Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.
The program has post-baccalaureate and post-Master's options that prepare APRN graduates for population health leadership roles. Post-doctoral certificates in the FNP and PMHNP tracks are also offered. Our talented students come from diverse backgrounds.
Programming for the DNP-FNP and DNP-PMHNP tracks are offered in through hybrid delivery, more than 50% of which is online. Intensives are offered at the SF "Hilltop" campus and classes may be held at other locations as well. DNP-FNP and DNP-PMHNP graduates fill critical primary care and leadership roles in the service of vulnerable populations.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at USF was the first DNP program in California. The programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). Full Job Description:
Responsibilities: Successful candidates are expected to engage in classroom and clinical teaching that will contribute to the university and profession. Minimum
Qualifications: A doctoral degree in nursing or related area is required. The appointment will be made at a rank commensurate with qualifications . Upon hire, the faculty member must be licensed as a registered nurse in California, have a California NP certificate and national NP certification.
