As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to concerns. This driving role offers the opportunity to serve the public through exceptional communication and customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with teamwork and integrity.
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, property damage, and policy violations.
- Maintain required firearm qualifications, follow all armed-post procedures, and prepare clear and accurate incident and patrol reports.
- Have at least two years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess a CPO certification.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have at least one year of prior military experience for positions in Hawaii.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
