Full job description

Position Summary: The role of the Part-time Recess & Building Support Staff is to ensure the students are upholding the behavior expectations of the school and assisting teachers and staff in this process in accordance with the mission and values of Belmont Charter Network. The ideal applicant should be able to work in collaboration with other building educators to provide high-quality, engaging care for students in a variety of settings such as the classroom, the lunchroom, recess, and one-on-one support.

This is a 10-month position that is supervised by the Dean. Core

Responsibilities: - Address student misbehavior in a proactive and positive manner in and out of the classroom. - Work with teachers, students, and staff to effectively and consistently implement the school-wide culture plan, including uniform policy. - Supervise students both in groups and individually during assigned times (lunch, arrival, dismissal, transitions, recess, events, etc.) - Support students in de-escalating techniques and apply consequences and restorative conversations with students who are sent to the culture team office. - Assist with the implementation of weekly and monthly student and family celebrations. - Attend all school staff, department, and grade team meetings.

responsibilities: - Proactively support students who are struggling behaviorally - Work with staff to ensure a safe and joyful school environment - Act as a mentor for specifically assigned MTSS Behavior tier II students to assist them in reaching their daily behavior and academic goals. - Support the deans and Director of Culture as needed with restorative conversations and parent meetings. - Adhere to all school policies and procedures - Other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills and Abilities: - Enjoys working with and for children - Team player - Flexible and dependable - Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and a variety of individualized needs - Previous experience working with young children

Qualifications: Education and Experience: - High School diploma required - Bachelor's degree preferred - Experience in an urban school setting - All employees must be able to provide Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114), and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168) before starting work on campus Thank you for taking the time to apply to Belmont Charter Network.
