KBR is seeking an Offensive/Defensive Space Control Analyst (ODSC) to join our team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

In this role, you will deliver tactical assessments, algorithm validation, and software solutions to close critical space kill chains, ensuring the war-fighter maintains the tactical edge in space.

  • Provide decision-makers and war-fighters with the critical analysis, tools, and modeling required to close complex space kill chains
  • Analyze algorithm deficiencies and identify possible mitigation procedures and/or replacement algorithms across the space C2 enterprise
  • Develop/maintain astrodynamics tools and software for a variety of operational use cases
  • Research and develop algorithms and/or methods to improve SDA and OW operations
  • Compile research and analysis into digestible presentations and reports for senior leadership
  • Assist operational units (e.g., 18 SDS, NSDC, and more) with developing short-term software solutions for a variety of real-world issues
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on astrodynamics and offensive/defensive space control
  • Assist in validation of SSN, non-traditional, commercial space surveillance sensor data
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Operations Research, Astrodynamics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or another engineering/science field
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in space systems analysis, astrodynamics, or space control operations
  • Coding Expertise: Strong quantitative and analytical programming abilities, with at least 5 years of experience using Python to parse complex datasets, run simulations, or build mathematical models
  • Domain Tools: Demonstrated hands-on experience with industry standard astrodynamics software and modeling suites
  • PhD. in Operations Research or a theoretical science field
  • Programing Language: Experience using MATLAB, Java, or Shell scripting (Bash/Zsh) alongside Python, as well as Git
  • Familiarity with Satellite Mission Platform
  • Familiarity and use of the Unified Data Library
  • A deep understanding of the current space C2 enterprise
  • Mission Domain Knowledge: Deep familiarity with DoD space systems, Joint Force programs, and specialized platforms supporting Orbital Warfare (OW) and/or Electronic Warfare (EW)
  • For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $165,000 - $175,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
