As a Tool and Die Maker, you’ll be part of our team located in Lakewood, OH. You’ll get to:

  • Set up and operate tools such as lathes, milling machines, shaper and grinder to machine parts and verify conformance of machine parts to specifications.
  • Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools and dies.
  • Set up runs off and test dies to produce a product to specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and correcting them.
  • Lapping, grinding, fitting, and finishing dies
  • Read and interpret routine blueprints.
  • Use hand tools of the trade.
  • Perform maintenance for cold header tooling and work with cold header operators, engineering, and production to support customer’s needs and lead times.

You’re not intimidated by innovation. In fact, you embrace it. You also have :

  • High School degree, Trade School graduate or Apprenticeship preferred.
  • Ability to make carbide trap and extrusion dies.
  • Ability to read and understand production prints and tolerances, drawings, follow routings and shop math
  • Comfortable using various hand held measuring tools.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand for 8 hour shift and are comfortable in a moderate to heavy physical effort environment
