Maintenance Mechanic

- Follows all pertinent company Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).

- Repairs complex electrical equipment including automated machines, controls, panels, relays, communication

- Relocates and installs electrical and mechanical equipment with minimal instructions after general assignment.

- Diagnoses problems and trouble shoots equipment failures; makes repairs or replaces parts.

- Performs tests on equipment and makes necessary adjustments for successful operation of equipment.

- Performs preventive maintenance on all plant equipment including automated machines, communication systems, alarms, and HVAC.

- Dismantles, repairs and reassembles pneumatic hand tools, cylinders, & gear boxes.

- Performs fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting and pipefitting.

- Provides technical assistance to Operators, Assemblers, etc.

- Provides maintenance support for restroom sinks, toilets, showers, and drains.

- Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

- Wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) for work being performed.

- 1 to 3 years previous maintenance mechanic experience in a fast-faced regulated manufacturing environment preferred. § Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, basic troubleshooting, building maintenance, HVAC a plus.

- Understanding of tools such as calipers, micrometers and other measuring devices.

- Experience operating machine shop equipment to require specification, including CNC machine centers, etc.

- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), e-mail and Internet.

- Employs a methodical approach to maintenance tasks and issues, ability to prioritize a must.
