Summer Engineering Academy Student Employee- Intro to Mobile App Usability & Interaction Design

Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The Fowler School of Engineering is seeking undergraduate students to assist with the Intro to Mobile App Usability & Interaction Design workshop for high school students as part of the Summer Engineering Academy. Student assistant will support instruction, help students with workshop tasks, and assist with setup and teardown.

Responsibilities Attend and support the full Intro to Mobile App Usability & Interaction Design workshops on 6/18/26, 6/29/26, 6/30/26, 7/8/26, and 7/9/26 (8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) Attend and support the Intro to Mobile App Usability & Interaction Design trial run on 6/3/26 Help prepare the learning environment and set up equipment prior to the session Assist high school participants with Intro to Mobile App Usability & Interaction Design tasks and projects Ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants Work closely with Dr.

LouAnne Boyd and follow instructor as needed Participate in workshop preparations Attend debrief meetings Complete the Protecting Minors from Sexual Misconduct Training prior to the workshop. Required Qualifications Availability for the full workshops on 6/18/26, 6/29/26, 6/30/26, 7/8/26, and 7/9/26 Strong interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to work with high school students in a hands-on learning environment Complete the Protecting Minors from Sexual Misconduct Training prior to the workshop.

Desired Qualifications Availability for the full trial run on 6/3/26 Experience mentoring, tutoring, or leading students in STEM activities Experience in instructional or outreach roles Special Instructions to Applicants Budget Information Is Federal work-study required?
