Full job description

We are hiring a Digital Asset GD ETF Specialist to be a n ETF subject matter expert, participating in workstreams to build digital asset operations within State Street’s infrastructure. You will be responsible for sharing knowledge and expertise around current operational workflows, maintain ing alignment to ETF leadership, escalat ing any concerns to functional leadership, acquir ing approvals of new models with functional leadership, and maintain ing alignment with digital asset operations leadership.

We expect this candidate to have a risk excellen t mindset and be proficient establishing an effective control environment. The ideal candidate should understand digital asset concepts (blockchain knowledge, understanding of digital asset types, decentralized finance , tokenization, etc). At a minimum this candidate should have intellectual curiosity to learn about digital asset servicing.

This role will have a dual reporting line to ETF leadership and digital asset operations leadership.

This role will have an important part in the overall success of the organization. Across the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability. To make that happen, we need teams like this one to execute swiftly, build strong procedures and processes, and implement a risk management framework to control the operating environment tightly.

This role will seek cutting-edge solutions that are straightforward and scalable. It will also help us build resilience and execute day-to-day deliverables with timeliness and accuracy.

  • Participate in workstream s as a n ETF subject matter expert for d igital a sset o perations across a portfolio of value streams to deliver digital asset capabilities
  • Foster alignment between value streams, manage interdependencies, and deliver value at an organizational level
  • Establish risk control procedures to ensure risk excellence across all capabilities
  • Partner with testing team s to develop, test, and enhance capability development in UAT and Production
  • Manage risks, resources, and stakeholder communications across the workstream
  • Provide regular communication and reporting updates to ensure full transparency and clarity of workstream delivery to both the functional leadership teams and d igital a sset o perations leadership teams
  • Knowledge of ETF systems, data flows, and overall operating model
  • Ability to escalate risks and decision points quickly to the appropriate stakeholders , whether that be functional leadership, digital leadership, and/or project leadership
  • Ability to review and vet a new operating model for viability and alignment to our existing infrastructure
  • Collaboration with other business units a nd departments within State Street
  • Experience executing on a project as a critical stakeholder, including excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience in ETF operations and strong working knowledge of day-to-day ETF responsibilities and processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance , Accounting or related discipline
  • Ability to excel when faced with the unknown and challenged to develop new ways
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and external stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with digital assets and wallets, distributed ledger technology, tokenization is preferred
