Responsibilities NV5 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Registered Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing geotechnical engineering and construction quality assurance (CQA) projects, ensuring the successful completion of all aspects of the projects from conception to completion.

The Geotechnical\CQA Registered Engineer will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions.

Key duties for this position involve: Manage and oversee geotechnical engineering and CQA projects from initiation to completion. Review project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and financial constraints.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with specifications. Perform geotechnical analysis and assessments to determine soil and rock properties.

Provide recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems. Conduct feasibility studies and prepare geotechnical reports.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, architects, and environmental specialists. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project requirements and concerns.

Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the highest standards in geotechnical engineering practices. Review and approve design documents, calculations, and reports.

Identify potential risks and challenges associated with geotechnical aspects of projects. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.

Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. 4+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on project management.

Proficient in geotechncal analysis software and other relevant engineering tools. Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations. #LI-HH1 Work environment and physical demands of this position The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

Work will include be in the field site visits involving long-term standing and frequent walking as well as include common hazards at construction and project sites.

Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 8 hours a day on occasion.

Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk.
