Responsible for ensuring that all production equipment is safe and in proper operating condition. Additional duties will be to perform all tasks following the cGMP requirements.
- Respond to and repair machinery on all production calls for machine breakdowns on multiple manufacturing lines.
- Ensure all repairs and corrective maintenance performed is verified and properly documented in the CMMS system.
- Fabrication including welding, plasma cutting and machining as needed.
- Perform all assigned Preventative and Predictive Maintenance tasks scheduled in a timely manner following established listed activities and applying acquired knowledge from previous work experience.
- Monitor equipment parts and determine minimum/maximum inventory levels for all equipment and facility support systems.
- Record/update all parts used during repair and Preventative Maintenance activities in CMMS system.
- Assist Inventory Control and Maintenance Planner in physical parts count for costing.
- Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering and Product Development on quality issues and specifications.
- Ensure housekeeping and safety compliance in the Maintenance shop.
- Communicate all machine issues and progress of on-going maintenance activities, recommend machine upgrades and projects for process and continuous improvement.
- Fabricate, modify and repair parts by using machine shop equipment (ie. welders, plasma cutter and drill press.)
- Attend all maintenance meetings, training, educational workshops or webinars for updates and personal development.
- Maintain positive team dynamic and overall department success.
- Complete all work orders as assigned within established timelines and in compliance with all printed company policies and procedures.
- Qualified candidates will have either 5+ years of relevant experience as a Maintenance Technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Machine set-up, or related field, or training at an accredited technical school.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills to the component level. Experienced with all LOTO procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using multimeters, amp probes, used to troubleshoot equipment.
- Familiar with safety interlocks and machine automation controls.
- Strong mechanical skills including pumps, motors, belts and conveyors.
- Experienced reading blueprints, schematics and machine drawings.
- Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex tasks and projects.
- Well-developed interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
- Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands
- Exposure to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer
- Work occasionally near mechanical parts and in high places
- Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free environment
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach
