Raytheon Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development teams for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group. Visit Raytheon Landing Page: Raytheon El Segundo, CA Location What you will do: Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.

Effectively contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities. Utilize strong investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions. Work effectively with team across multiple disciplines, internal and external Effectively contribute to program and customer meetings/reviews Support the program leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.

Perform technical leadership roles for at least one key tasks or line item on programs Mentor at least one other engineer on programs in areas of knowledge and expertise Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality. Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.

Must be able to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment. Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus Qualifications you must have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of5 years of prior relevant experience. Development experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages/tools across phases of SDLC.

Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS. Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.​ U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer: Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance Experience developing Radar Software applications Direct experience with Agile methodologies. Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues. Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA , an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
