This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

This role supports the development and operation of New Glenn 's Gen 2 second stage (Quattro) , which is a 4-engine evolution of the Gen 1 GS2 in operation today . This stage will be a high - rate and low - cost solution which both defines and transforms the future capability of New Glenn .

As the Quattro Stage Senior Manager , you will report directly to the Quattro Program Senior Director and manage the team which owns the stage end-item deliverable for stage final integration, hotfire and integration to the launch vehicle. You will oversee the product structure which defines the end item and ensure alignment across all modules .

You will collaborate with the module leads to ensure their deliverables align with the production value stream , including the first article production schedule milestones and configuration . You will own all hardware design and analysis required for final integration, stage transportation and hotfire testing.

This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and attention towards safe and reliable spaceflight.

- Manage the team which owns the Quattro stage end item across stage final integration, transportation, hotfire , and vehicle final integration . This include s design and analysis of any hardware required for those major production steps or test activities .

- Oversee the Quattro product structure to ensure that the structure is aligned and executable against our production plan.

- Report using a standard business rhythm on performance, cost, schedule and risk associated with the Quattro stage development , to include weekly progress reports and monthly program reviews using a standard set of technical performance measures which are tracked and maintained by your team.

- Drive workforce planning strategies to improve labor utilization factors and aid in the program transition from development to production including working with production organizations to vet production labor assumptions

- Work with procurement and program leadership to drive procurement execution strategies that reduce cost and improve delivery performance

- Work with operations to assess/drive production rate increase readiness.

- Highly organized leader with excellent technical written and verbal communication skills with proven track record of resourcefulness, strong business acumen, and bias for action from previous assignments.

- Direct experience with launch vehicle or space system integration and testing , including e xperience across multiple portions of the product life cycle (design, analysis, manufacturing, integration, and test) .

- Comfortable working in a fast paced, multifaceted work environment and ability to travel in support of the program, customer, and supplier activities.

- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

- Proven engineering management track record in a product-focused organization with 10+ direct reports .

- Experience leading new product introduction (NPI) initiatives for large-scale products .

- Experience with Primavera (P6), MS Project, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, SQL, MySQL, Power Query, Power Pivot.

- Strong business management competence and experience leading large, geographically dispersed programs with large subcontractors .

Base Pay Range for: CO applicants is $169,008.00 - $236,611.20 WA applicants is $183,807.00 - $257,328.75
