As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Emergency Department Patrol in Miami, FL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

- Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. - Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location. - Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. - Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the healthcare facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. - Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to site leadership. - Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, maintain required documentation, and communicate observations and concerns with Allied Universal leadership and facility personnel.

- Have at least one year of security-related experience. - Comply with hospital vaccine requirements. - Be able to work in a hospital morgue. - Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. - Be at least 21 years of age. - Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. - Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field. - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
