Full job description

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Key job

responsibilities: Analyze product and technology service strategy and make strategic recommendations. Coordinate the design, development, testing, and deployment of features into production across multiple technical teams. Create and track project milestones, risks, and dependencies, and describe, own, and prioritize all technical requirements associated with delivery.

Dive deep to understand the design details of the systems in your area, especially those related to customer interfaces and the expectations for system dependencies. Identify which existing systems or services require changes to implement new capabilities, and work with the SDM for each system to estimate the work involved.

Own the implementation plan across teams and report on progress against technical milestones to stakeholders. Understand the significant business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind decisions. Demonstrate good judgment in how and when to escalate.

Be data-oriented, regularly review metrics, and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility. Keep programs aligned with organizational goals. Align stakeholder needs while driving mindful discussions that lead to crisp decisions.

Partner with customers, internal/external teams, and/or engineering teams to determine which projects move forward and in what sequence. Write effective narratives and program updates, and present them effectively to stakeholders and the management team. Create plans with clear, measurable success criteria and return on investment, while overseeing the gap between teams, processes, and system architectures.

Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks. Help teams and the organization reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood/documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impacts from the use of third-party technologies, APIs not protected/hardened, insufficient testing/gaps in QA).

Apply organizational expertise, excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
