Manages a global team of contracts professionals. Drafts, negotiates, and administers contracts, while outlining clear terms that are aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Actively involved throughout the contract lifecycle from planning requirements to fulfillment of obligations, addressing issues and risks as needed.
Negotiates contracts including terms clarification, issue resolution, and implementing negotiation strategies to achieve business goals and mitigate risks. Applies and maintains current understanding of Qualcomm policies, positions, and operations as well as legal guidelines related to contracts administration and/or management.
Plans and optimizes overall contracts portfolio for agility, improved stakeholder responsiveness and team workload management. Builds and reinforces scalable contracting processes to collaborate with sourcing leads, legal, risk and other internal stakeholders.
* Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field. Master's or Juris Doctor degree is preferred but not required.
* 15+ years of professional experience in drafting, reviewing, redlining and negotiating complex procurement contracts.
* 5+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Sr. Director level or above).
* Proficiency in using CLM and and AI solutions / tools to streamline and automate contracts management.
* Manages and directs a global team of contracts professionals responsible for drafting, negotiating, administering, and managing a wide variety of complex contracts while leveraging expertise in contract administration procedures and legal guidelines; coaches others on all aspects of their roles, including contract management, stakeholder engagement, negotiation strategy, and effective execution of their responsibilities.
* Guides the team in the administration of highly complex contracts portfolio to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations of company.
* Reviews projects and assigns works throughout the team accordingly.
* Reviews research, analysis, and interpretation of contracts across teams to evaluate and leverage insights that best support the business based on advanced knowledge of contract and legal principles.
* Guides team on Qualcomm's policies and positions related to contracts with critical internal and external parties based on expertise in the area.
* Provides direction to teams for analyzing and responding to complex requests for information; reviews responses to ensure timeliness and quality of responses.
* Drives conversations with critical internal and external stakeholders to understand and clarify ambiguous needs, share updates, and address complex issues and risks.
* Encourages continuous improvement across teams by developing new and innovative ways to increase efficiencies across the functional area; implements, promotes, and influences the adoption of new and improved processes.
* Champions development and usage of GenAI, CLM and other solutions for contract creation and maintenance, improve velocity, conduct risk assessment and ensure compliance.

* Communicates complex and detailed information clearly and effectively to audiences with varying levels of knowledge, including senior leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, and external parties.
* Applies strong negotiation, influence, and relationship-management skills to drive alignment, resolve complex issues, and support business objectives.
* Directs the analysis, interpretation, and resolution of complex and often abstract issues that may have impact beyond the immediate functional area.
* Exercises significant influence over key organizational decisions, including decisions that may materially affect business operations, contractual risk, stakeholder commitments, or long-term objectives.
* Contributes to the development, redesign, and execution of organizational strategies and provides direction for functional areas in support of long-term business plans and objectives.
* Help articulate the contracts management profession for the future and be a strong champion for positive change
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
