Full job description

Design, develop and maintain the C++ code base that delivers a world-class update experience. Collaboration within the team and across product groups to deliver end-to-end experiences.

Make strong investments in test assets to provide an automated testing experience. Analyze data to inform quality and future investments. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

OR equivalent experience. 3+ years of industry programming, software engineering, and/or software development experience. BS/BA in computer science, or equivalent in related technical experience.

Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in object-oriented languages (C++ required). Experience with API Design. Sound coding, debugging, design, implementation and problem-solving skills.

Passion for improving software quality, performance, and reliability through engineering excellence. Thrives in a fast-paced, agile development environment and can multitask fluidly.

Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature. Supports identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight.

With guidance, learns to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature reusing code as applicable. Assists and learns about breaking down work items into tasks and provides estimation.

Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems, and recommends actions to restore system/product/service by following the playbook.

Reviews current developments and proactively seeks new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
