Embedded Software Engineer II, Strata Common Platform Team

We're looking for passionate innovators to join our Strata Common Platform team, where you'll help shape the next generation of embedded platform software powering Blue Origin's entire fleet of space vehicles! As part of the Strata team , you'll work at the exciting convergence of mission-critical embedded systems and cutting-edge Blue Origin Generative AI technology , developing the platform software that makes spaceflight safer, smarter, and more reliable.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering , Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

- Deep hands-on experience with real-time systems, multitasking, and synchronization in embedded environments

- Experience with software loaders, device drivers, middleware (I/O, BIT), hardware abstraction, and low-level interfaces

- Knowledge of multiple hardware architectures (ARM, x86) and RTOS/ QNX/ Yocto Linux embedded environments

- Experience with CI/CD environments and tools such as Gitlab, Jira, Confluence.

- Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative teamwork experience

- Excellent communication skills and commitment to collaborative team culture

- Knowledge of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT)

- Experience in safety-critical software development within aerospace, automotive, or similar industries

Base Pay Range for: CO applicants is $123,714.00 - $173,199.60 WA applicants is $134,961.00 - $188,945.40
