Software Engineering 6 - Ads Finance

We are looking for highly experienced Engineers to architect and build the intersection of our Advertising and Finance systems. You will have an opportunity to design highly scalable application layers and data pipelines that handle high-throughput ad serving/bidding data while ensuring absolute financial accuracy, strict regulatory compliance, and seamless ledger integration.

- 8+ years of experience building cloud-based applications with modern programming languages

- Proven leadership at an L6/Staff/Principal level driving collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders from product, engineering, design, and Business. and of delivering complex features with critical business impact

- Expertise building and integrating large-scale Finance or Payment systems with deep knowledge of revenue integrity (ACID compliance, revenue recognition, invoicing, data reconciliation, and financial reporting).

- Thorough understanding of the advertising marketplace and landscape (e.g., ad serving, bidding, programmatic environments, campaign management).

- Experience designing multi-tenant, API-first architectures and scalable microservices (REST, gRPC, Protobuf).

- Proven track record of delivering complex features with critical business impact in high-throughput environments.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with demonstrated product sense and leadership in the working environment.

- Experience translating complex financial concepts into code (e.g., double-entry bookkeeping, journal automation, distributed transactions, tax engine integrations).

- Experience working within regulated frameworks like SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance or IT General Controls (ITGC).

- Working knowledge of event-driven architectures and streaming infrastructure (e.g., Apache Flink, Kafka Streams) to process upstream ad mutations for reactive billing.

- Comfort with large-scale data systems and pipelines, ensuring data flowing from high-throughput ad serving systems lands with absolute financial precision.

- Working knowledge of AI/ML/genAI techniques and an ability to safely apply them to the Finance and Billing work flows.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.

The range for this role is $499,000.00 - $820,000.00.
