You will be an integrated team member, collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers in one or more of the phases of Project Planning, Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration and Testing. We are looking for a talented Senior Principal Software engineer to work in the area of RFCM development and integration. The opening is for a large and dynamic program developing an Electronic Warfare (EW) product onboard a military aircraft. The candidate must have a deep knowledge of EW countermeasures and the ability to lead an experienced technical team.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

- Secret Security Clearance (active within the past two years). - Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and minimum of 8 years work experience or equivalent experience - Deep knowledge of EW countermeasures - Proven ability to lead an experienced development team - Proven ability to create complex designs, working with both existing baselines and new-start projects - Proven knowledge in service-based architecture - Proven ability to create test artifacts, execute and capture test results - Lab integration experience with complex systems - Ability to partner with senior technical and project leads to provide estimates, status, risks and opportunities - Ability to evaluate, create, and reconcile requirements across multiple baselines or projects - Familiar with Git, Visual Studio, and Visual Studio Code - Ability to work independently - Strong C++ experience - Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles - Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools - Experience performing software testing, validation, and verification activities

- Experience in identifying software risk areas in a design to mitigate technical risk
