- Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems, using engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations to code and IMEG standards.
- Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports.
- Partner with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, communicate technical information, and build client relationships.
- Review electrical system designs, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence, and implement IMEG quality control processes.
- Provide technical assistance in resolution of field issues with limited support from senior staff.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work, and identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
- Participate in project interviews and project presentations.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required
- 7 years of experience minimum required , 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
- Adept in the technical aspects of one's discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems
- Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet , MadCAD , and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)
- Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS ; Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu
- Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
