Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: * Review loan files for specific Post QC tax transcript requirements, order tax transcripts, compare tax transcript results to loan file, maintain tax transcript reporting.
Prepare loan files for QC audit. Selection of qualifying Early Payment Default loans Analysis of servicing report and HUD data Perform written and verbal reverifications as required per investors, agencies, and NAF QC Plan Support Pre-Fund audit team when reverifications are required to be ordered.
Navigate agency and investor technology systems, complete file uploads and missing document requests to Portals. Perform oversight review of vendor reverifications for accuracy.
Complete and retain agency and investor reporting as assigned by AVP, Post QC. Distribute HUD notices via email and copy QC Management. Escalate unsatisfactory documentation and/or reverifications as necessary.
Maintain general knowledge of loan file documentation and investor/agency QC guidelines, NAF overlays and NAF policy and procedures. Awareness of fraud prevention and familiarity with red flags.
Complete continuing education via webinars and other training as required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, directed by the AVP, Post QC.
Job Competencies: General knowledge of investor and agency quality control policies and procedures. Ability to analyze risk as it relates to investment quality loans.
Ability to review audit documentation, validate, and document potential risk for escalation to Management. Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills.
Excellent reporting skills, including working knowledge of Excel, Office Tools, and ability to provide summary reports to Management. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); five or more years' mortgage processing and/ or QC experience preferred.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word word-processing software; MS Excel spreadsheet software and Internet Explorer, MS Outlook internet software.
