Full job description

Job Summary Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) on operating mechanical equipment throughout the Hospital. Provides information for the P.M. program. Responds to emergency calls.

Responsible for snow removal as needed. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Performs routine preventive maintenance on automatic doors, roll-up doors, and fire doors. -Perform routine preventive maintenance on laundry chutes. -Assist Automatic Door Technician with the installation of new automatic doors. -Repair various hospital equipment: kitchen equipment, pallet jacks, and SPD carts. -Responds to emergency calls for the memios trash and linen system. -Ensure all work is completed within ICRA & ILSM guidelines. -May be required to assist other trades as needed. -Responsible for snow removal as needed.

- Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders and walk almost constantly. Occasionally required to work in confined areas.

- Interpersonal skills to exchange information with other shop's personnel about work needed, to provide on-the-job training and to conduct formal skill-building training classes.

- NFPA Hot Work Certification required.
