Warehouse Person / Delivery Driver

The Business, Facilities, & Operations Division is now accepting applications for the position of Warehouse Person / Delivery Driver. Under the Supervisor – Warehousing Services, the Warehouse Person/Delivery Driver will participate in the distribution, storage and receipt of materials, supplies, and equipment; this job class performs a variety of manual activities and specialized functions and exercises responsibility for the performance of the more routine functions of the warehouse; employees in this classification receive direct supervision.

This position is part-time, and has a work year of 12 months/ 260 days/5 days per week/4 hours per day

• Education: Graduation from high school AND
• Experience: One year of experience performing stock or delivery work in a warehouse or stockroom environment using delivery trucks and vehicles, fork lifts and pallet jacks. Experience in a large-scale warehouse or and inventory management operation is preferred.

• Valid California driver's license
• A safe driving record which meets the County Office of Education's insurance requirements
• A forklift certification

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

• Assessments and interviews may take place virtually or in-person.
• Following the final filing date, the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated.
• The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a written exam, tentatively scheduled for TBD.
• Those who pass the written exam will be invited to participate in an oral examination with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for TBD.
• Based on the final scores of qualified candidates, Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list.
• Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for TBD.
• Second interviews may be held in-person.
