Refuse Collector, Sanitation

essential functions, to include the use of shovels, pitchforks, yard rakes, and brooms. Cleans garbage truck daily to ensure sanitary working vehicle; removes litter from interior and washes down exterior.

Communicates with supervisor, employees, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review work status, exchange information, or resolve problems; responds to requests for service or assistance.

Prepares or completes time cards or other documents. Typical Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred; previous relevant work experience is preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

May require a valid driver's license. If license is required, must obtain a valid State of Louisiana driver's license at time of appointment and maintain throughout employment in this position.
