Full job description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Server who is passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality while supporting the daily success of Pasque’s dining room operations. This role is responsible for providing thoughtful, personalized service while mentoring fellow servers, reinforcing service standards, and helping ensure a seamless guest experience.

The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about food, wine, and beverage service, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and enjoys supporting a collaborative team environment. As part of the Food & Beverage team, you will contribute to creating memorable guest experiences while supporting our commitment to responsible operations and sustainability.

  • Deliver warm, engaging, and personalized service to every guest.
  • Guide guests through menu selections with confidence, including food, beverage, and wine recommendations.
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food menus, beverage offerings, ingredients, and daily features.
  • Handle guest questions, requests, and concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Create memorable experiences through genuine hospitality and thoughtful service.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for servers by providing guidance, coaching, and support throughout each shift.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members while reinforcing service standards and expectations.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail.
  • Support restaurant leadership with floor readiness, service execution, and team communication.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve guest experience and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
  • Assist with opening and closing responsibilities to ensure the dining room is prepared for service.
  • Maintain assigned sections while supporting overall dining room organization and presentation.
  • Communicate effectively with culinary, bar, and leadership teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist with coordinating guest flow and supporting the team during high-volume service periods.
  • Ensure tables, service stations, and guest areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
  • Process guest payments and handle cash, credit card, and house account transactions accurately.
  • Maintain proper steps of service and ensure billing procedures are completed correctly.
  • Verify guest age and support responsible alcohol service in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, hosts, culinary staff, and leadership to ensure seamless service.
  • Support fellow team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuously develop food, beverage, and hospitality knowledge.
  • Minimum 2 years of serving experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel, or high-volume dining environment.
  • Previous lead, trainer, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, cocktails, and hospitality standards.
  • Experience using POS systems and handling guest payments accurately.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and guest service skills.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Current alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Safely handle food, beverages, glassware, and service equipment.
