Full job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology.

Come be a part of what’s next.

The Netflix Finance Technology Team manages and delivers applications for the constantly evolving needs of our Finance organization. Our team is seeking an innovative functional lead to help us solutionize and navigate a rapid development environment with multiple internal business stakeholders in the Procure to Pay and Accounting areas.

The ideal candidate has experience with enterprise applications like Workday, and can develop strong cross functional relationships with business partners across the finance teams.

The position will be based in Los Angeles and report to the Manager of Finance Technology.

  • Manage relationships with finance leaders, product managers, engineering managers, and partners to understand and translate business requirements and influence cross team priorities
  • Proactively identify process gaps, inefficiencies, automation opportunities, and risk in the current processes
  • Own the end-to-end delivery as the functional lead for any new builds, system configurations, implementations of a new module, its feature set, identifying gaps, and proposing scalable solutions in the financial systems across multiple or single modules
  • Fully manage medium-to-large projects independently by having deep experience in domain knowledge, both functionally or technically, and make independent design decisions
  • In-depth enterprise software experience in big ERP/accounting systems like Workday/Oracle/SAP/NetSuite as a systems analyst. Having Workday experience will be a plus
  • Understand business flows well and show clarity in thought when working with P2P (Procure to Pay) and other financial data
  • Experience in working with engineers, product managers, and product owners
  • Experience in understanding integrations with various systems
  • A strong, independent contributor who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, works in uncharted territory, and also has curiosity to learn a complex business area.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to disseminate information about your work, design, and tradeoff decisions, both in writing and verbally
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting (or a related field) or equivalent experience required
  • Functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas: P2P, accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting
  • Experience with XML and document transformations would be an advantage.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.

The range for this role is $270,000.00 - $410,000.00.
