AECOM is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to support transportation and transit infrastructure clients throughout the East Region. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage complex engineering consulting contracts, and serve as the primary client liaison for strategic transportation and transit infrastructure projects.
The initial assignment will include management of a major transit systems engineering contract supporting infrastructure modernization, with responsibility expanding to additional East Region clients and projects as the regional portfolio grows.
- Manage transportation and transit engineering consulting contracts from project initiation through closeout.
- Serve as the primary contract manager and client liaison, leading scope, budget, schedule, staffing, risk, quality, and project controls.
- Direct multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams to deliver high-quality services while meeting project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate closely with clients, contractors, subcontractors, project partners, and internal technical disciplines throughout project execution.
- Support business development activities, proposal preparation, interviews, strategic pursuits, and respond to client-issued RFQs/RFPs.
- BA/BS in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering ore related field and 10 years of transportation, transit, or infrastructure project experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Experience managing engineering consulting contracts, multidisciplinary engineering teams, project budgets, schedules, contract administration, and financial performance.
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams through exceptional written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience supporting planning, design, integration, construction, or program management of transit systems and transportation infrastructure projects, including one or more of the following: Train Control & Signaling; Communications, SCADA & Intelligent Transportation Systems; Transit Power & Electrification; Fare Collection Systems; Cybersecurity & Network Infrastructure; Transit Facilities & Systems Integration.
