Full job description

Responsibilities
  • Financial Modeling:

  • Create, modify, and maintain financial models to include property/project level financial projections, debt financing, JV waterfalls and complex ad hoc analyses (budgets, reforecasts, sensitivities etc.);
  • Asset Management:
  • Support all efforts related to managing assets including return analysis, coordinating with JV partners, overseeing execution of business plans and supporting investor reporting;
  • Investment Materials:
  • Support financial and investor reporting, and
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and investors;
  • Marketing/Client Group:
  • Support marketing related initiatives and requests to support platform growth;
  • Project Management and Capital Activity:
  • Track investment performance,
  • Analyze and understand real estate documents (leases, contracts, etc.), JV Agreements, and loan agreements, and
  • Review draws, process contributions/distributions and other capital activities.

  • Must be able to talk, hear and use wrists, hands and/or fingers frequently and repetitively to operate a computer, telephone and other office productivity machinery.
  • Must frequently prepare or inspect documents, and convey details or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties to ensure timely completion. The ability to collaborate is also imperative.
  • Requires active listening, critical thinking, making decisions, time management, as well as administration skills.
  • Ability to interact in a courteous professional manner at all times.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience;
  • Asset Management, Development, or Acquisitions across major asset classes experience preferred; Client-facing experience preferred;
  • Experience with advanced financial modeling;
  • Mastery in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ARGUS Enterprise. Bellwether seeks to hire entrepreneurial individuals who are highly motivated, mature and intelligent, with demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:
  • Job Knowledge & Technical Ability: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong research capabilities to find or generate data independently. Highly proficient in Excel, including the ability to create real estate financial models from scratch, Word, PowerPoint, and Argus. Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of real estate sectors and fundamentals.
  • Initiative & Dependability: Ability to perform responsibilities independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment, solve problems, and improve processes and/or services. Self-directed, takes initiative and responsibility, ensures completion of tasks. Highly efficient, flexible and diligent enough to handle competing priorities and deadlines. Strong work ethic.

  • Local and/or nationwide travel to assets and client sites may be required as needed.

Senior Analysts will be encouraged to contribute on the strategic initiatives across their deals and suggest business plan variations, where appropriate.

Overview As a Senior Analyst on the Bellwether Equity Team, you will support the oversight of a portfolio of commercial real estate investments. Key responsibilities include maintaining complex financial analyses, evaluating monthly operating reports and participating in bi-weekly leasing calls. Senior Analysts will be encouraged to contribute on the strategic initiatives across their deals and suggest business plan variations, where appropriate.
