Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Job ID 31575 Type Regular Full-Time Location US-WA-Seattle Category Laboratory Research Sciences Overview Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases.

The Lund lab in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Research Division is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to work on mucosal and anti-viral immunity projects.

Ideally, the candidate will be proficient in high-parameter flow cytometry, have extensive experience in experimental immunology, have experience working with mouse models, and have some experience with bioinformatics.

In addition, the candidate must be responsible, organized, self-motivated, and able to efficiently and independently manage time and experiments.

Responsibilities Design and perform experiments using mouse models and human tissue samples to understand mucosal immune responses to viral infection.

Perform data analysis and prepare manuscripts. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM

QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold PhD in immunology, or a related field.

Experience with multicolor flow cytometry panels (>25 colors). Experience with mucosal immunology. Must be willing to work with pre-clinical animal models and work at Biosafety level 2.

Must have experience or willingness to work with viruses.

PREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS: Expertise in T cell, anti-viral, and mucosal immunology is highly desirable.

The candidate should have a proven track record of publication and strong written communication skills. Must be independent, show initiative, willingness to take up new skills and responsibilities, and be a team player.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172 to $91,303, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.
